Registration form  for patients, family members and carers only (the link takes you to organiser’s website, we don’d collect any of your data). Please complete the registration form fully, with all your accommodation, accessibility and dietary requirements. Thank you! For anyone else interested in general registration you can guide them to the main website where they can select their appropriate category.

⇒ Accommodation: The nearest hotel recommended by the local organisers for patients, families and carers is Ibis Lausanne Centre. The preferential rate rooms will be allocated and confirmed in the upcoming weeks after registration by the local organisers. If you would like to arrange the accommodation directly with the Ibis or ask them for more details, please email h6772@accord.com. Please make sure you mention that you are linked to the event at the Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital (special price per night for single rooms including taxes should be CHF 155).

Alternatively, please do feel free to organise your own accommodation, and remember to consider the distance and accessibility to/from the venue.


⇒ Transportation:

By plane & train: Your nearest airport is Geneva. Swiss trains from Geneva airport to Lausanne are designed for people with disabilities / wheelchair users. There are approximately 4 trains per hour and the commuting time is approximately of one hour. 

By train & bus: The Ibis Centre Hotel is about 20 minutes walking distance from Lausanne train station, or 5 minutes driving by car. To book a minibus for people with disabilities / wheelchair users email  direction@thvd.ch. 

Buses 20 and 21 go from Lausanne train station to the Ibis Centre Hotel.

Special transport: Transport Handicap Vaud Genève  are a specialised transport company for people with disabilities / wheelchair users in in case you need a transfer from Lausanne train station to the hotel, or any other transfer during your stay. The website is in French only but self explanatory; just let us know if you need any assistance with  booking anything.

In Lausanne: The taxes included in the room price (for all hotels) allow you to use public transport for free. The Lausanne public transport buses are designed for easy access for wheelchairs and people with disabilities. Also check your route from the Ibis Centre Hotel to Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital (meeting venue).
